About PRIDE

Since 2012, we have been a central part of the Lubbock LGBTQ+ community.

LubbockPRIDE is an organization that hosts the annual LGBTQ+ pride festival in Lubbock, Texas. The festival brings together Lubbock and the surrounding communities for a day of fun, food, and fabulous entertainment! This event is family friendly and we welcome people of all ages.

Our goal is to promote equality and increase awareness around issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community. We celebrate the strides our community has taken for acceptance from society, our friends, and family.

Our Focus

  • Create a welcoming and accepting organization by being positive role models for members of the LGBTQ+ community and our allies.

  • Foster communication, tolerance, and mutual support among LGBTQ+ persons.

  • Oppose prejudice in society at large and within the LGBTQ+ community on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

  • Encourage fellowship and support among participating businesses, professionals, individuals, and charitable organizations with the LGBTQ+ community and our allies.

  • Produce the annual pride festival that fosters a sense of community and encourages LGBTQ+ persons to live openly and with pride.

To achieve positive representation of the LGBTQ+ community within Lubbock and represent the city and the surrounding areas in a dignified manner.
